Philosophy was essential to my success in law school and legal positions I have held in the meantime. Most importantly, philosophy uniquely prepares you to think critically about problems, particularly arguments. In law, this is an essential skill to have when finding the best argument and responding to opposition. It will also give you a great understanding of analytical reasoning and logic.
Philosophy teaches you how to think about things, and gives you the tools with which to interact with others and the world in a fruitful way. These skills are not only essential to entrance exams like the LSAT, but I am always falling back on them throughout law school and my career.
